Australia@aussie.zone•Ebike ‘swarms’ descend on roads and parks across Australia as meet-ups gather paceEnglish
11·16 days agoI’ll be honest, kids riding bikes across golf courses is not something I’m going to worry about.

Australia@aussie.zone•E-bike rules in Australia will soon change with possible ban on sale of bikes faster than 25km/hEnglish
1·2 months agoThat’s not accurate at all The 500w have only been legal briefly due to a loophole. They were never meant to be so.
So to posit your position back at your - a 500w bike won’t do what I need, why can’t I have a 1000w?

1·2 months agoWell OP is saying that legal ebikes will be insufficiently powerful for what they need. They don’t have a car, so assuming they don’t want one they could look at a moped, a motorbike, scooter bikes, all of which will provide more power and be street legal.
I’m in Victoria, where we’re already limited to 250w and have been the entire time, so I’m seeing a lot of arguments against bike regulations fall flat on their face.

If a bike isn’t doing what you need / want it to, then the answer is not a bike.

35·2 months agoRight wing parties feed on fear: the fear of losing what you have.
Millenials have had no chance to build anything to lose. They’re not self contained fiefdoms jealously guarding Whats Mine Is Mine, they rely heavily on social groups and community.

21·2 months agoThey really didn’t come across as condescending at all IMO. You’re complaiing about legal e-bikes not doing specific tasks you want them to, it’s entirely reasonable to suggest that your expectations may be misaimed.

1·3 months agoconsidering on average most people will have their data breached from “secure” databases designed to “protect” their customer logins over their own actions, I’m sure putting in heavy handed monitoring that records everything will make our citizens ever so much safer and not make a giant honeypot for bad faith actors to leverage

And you do know that stable diffusion just bans anyone who comments on the community FuckAI, right? That’s why there’s no comments there on any of those bans. Because they’re made up by someone who’s never interacted with the poster, but doesn’t like their position on AI.
if you want your outrage fix go watch joe rogan or something, not shit up other people’s lemmy comms
