Fucking stop with the emojis.
They didn’t abandon the cat, it was a cat who was let out when he wanted that just decided to go to our door. I fully agree that anyone who abandons pets should be banned from ever being able to have one, but it’s not the case here. They, the “owners”, said that they had started looking at places that would take him in to be adopted by someone else (not that I can say if it’s true or not). They got the cat before their kids were born, and they realised the kids and the cat don’t work together. Only negative I can say about the parents is that they decided to get rid of the cat instead of teaching their kids to not be assholes towards animals.
I highly recommend this video about bad spell check corrections, mainly from Grammarly:
(Having trouble getting an invidious link right now, would appreciate one if anyone else is able to!)
You say that like most governments are acting like the US, which is just so dumb. Your comment reeks of “I only know about the US government and nothing else”.
Yeah, not being a kid and knowing enough about Five Nights at Freddy’s is a major red flag, good that he recognises that (but still bad that he even has to in the first place).
Not with a good ad and annoyances blocker. I reformatted my hard drive recently and the few pages I had to visit before installing that really opened my eyes to how bad it is, and how most people just live with it being. Hadn’t experienced much of any of these the past several years, and it has gotten a lot worse since I did. I’ve noticed that most people I know who are not that tech-savvy have stopped going to websites or even trying anything online other than a very small selection of apps, and now that makes total sense.
My family had 4 cats when I was born, all had been found as stray kittens or literally come to the door and begged to get in (second story of an apartment building with lots of other choices of doors). We found the owner of one and they just said “keep him, we realised a while ago we shouldn’t have gotten a pet in the first place”.
Then when I was a teenager a cat came to our door just the same, during a huge storm, went directly into my room where I was sleeping and laid down basically on top of me and stayed there the whole night. I remember waking up thinking “who the fuck is this?”.
We bonded immediately and he became mine more than ours. A few weeks after that we found the family he had come from and they also just told us to keep him because they had two 3-year-olds who weren’t playing nicely with him and they saw that he had a better home with us.
He moved out with me when I got my own apartment and we were best friends till he passed about 10 years later (he was already 5 when he came to us). Haven’t gotten a pet of any kind since then, he was the best cat and friend I’ve ever had/known. Still dream about him at least once a month and it’s been 8 years since he passed.
It’s been awesome to see how it went from something you had to go to vegan only stores or order online to now when it’s the norm, now it’s just checking every kind you buy because a few still have animal products in them but as you said, it’s mostly vegan. It’s just non-dark chocolate that’s normally not vegan now, and I don’t expect that to change.
Diversity is everywhere, the US isn’t special (in any good way, at least).
Dude, seriously? This is the biggest whoosh I’ve seen one a good while. How the fuck did you not realise they were making a joke?
Americans are some of the worst at their own language, so it’s not at all surprising they’re not from elsewhere.
Just a random list of bands I like that are popular, talented, recent and/or currently active:
King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard
Bombino, Tinariwen and Imarhan
I mostly listen to older music, 60s-90s, not for any reason other than that’s the time frame where I find more music that I like. Still lots of good stuff today too though! And that’s by far not a comprehensive list, just the ones I thought of right now.
So something can’t be popular just because you haven’t heard about it? It’s immensely popular, one of Adult Swim’s biggest hits ever.
They also believe they are a majority of the world population, which is incredibly obvious if you spend any time online (that theu believe that, not that they are that). Several times when I’ve said that the US population is 3% of the world population I’ve gotten replies saying that can’t be true or that I and dumb for believing obviously false facts or obvious anti-American propaganda… Absolutely pathetic.
Ooh, I gotta try that with distrobox. And I’ll try to remove then add the repo again as soon as I’m able, thank you!
