I found myself going to my mom’s place every day for dinner for a week and taking leftovers home. Now she’s just automatically freezing portions for me. She knows my ass is BROKE

My biggest issue rn is credit card debt. My dog needed multiple surgeries and my car needed fixed. I have 2 maxed out cards and no interest until November. It’s only like 6k to pay off, but it’s still overwhelming because I’ve never had to deal with this type of thing before. I think I can get it all paid off before November, but it’s still a daunting task.

The only person I’ve seen actually benefit from back surgery is my sister getting rods put along her spine for her scoliosis. It helped her tremendously. She has some recurring nerve pain from it, but her organs aren’t being fucked up anymore and her back doesn’t hurt constantly. She also got so much taller.

I own a beagle and he can 100% confirm this statement.

I’ve had friends legit pity me because I’m a virgin at 27. Like, I struggled with sexuality for most of my adult life, only figuring out I am gay after 3 boyfriends. I’m not in a rush to get a gf or have sex.

Now my closest group of friends bully me in a friend way about being single and it’s hilarious because they don’t actually pity me or whatever. They respect me and all that and the jokes are just fun between us all.

I did. It looks a little rough, but doesn’t seem to be complete toast. There’s also another mechanism that might be malfunctioning. I adjusted it like I was instructed to and the dripping got worse.

I’m not 100% sure what part is causing the running, so I’m just replacing everything. It’s all probably due to be replaced anyway lol

A coworker sent me a pic of a user trying to charge a wired mouse with a surge protector. The user is a doctor. A surgeon.

I also see health care professionals break HIPAA rules CONSTANTLY despite everyone in my office telling them they’re breaking rules.

Instead of facing black pieces of paper to DOGE, we can just sign their emails up for so many spam mailing lists. So many that legit emails get lost in the chaos

I don’t have a fixer-upper per se, but the dude who flipped my place to sell it really cut corners. I do as many repairs myself as I can. I consult the Internet, local hardware shops, and people I know who have done home repairs. I’m currently dealing with a toilet that won’t stop running unless I cut the water supply to it. I know that I need to replace all the parts in the tank, but I haven’t been able to make it to the hardware store to get the parts.

Also redneck engineering temporary fixes is totally a valid strategy. My parents put flex seal on a fucked up part of their roof and it kept the leaks at bay for 4 years. It could have lasted longer, but they got the whole thing replaced.

My screen door is broken, and I haven’t been able to replace it, so I have it tied open and held in place against my porch railing with some yarn. In bad storms, before it broke really bad, I used duck tape to keep it shut so it wouldn’t go flapping around.

Parts of my porch siding (plastic lattice) would also start blowing around in bad storms, so I used spare boards to prop everything in place until I was able to cut all the lattice down.
