The little town of Sumas WA next to Abbotsford BC was basically killed last time Trump was in office. That was a popular crossing for Canadians going to the US to pick up groceries and packages from post boxes. There was a large grocery store that had been there 50 years. Canadian’s stopped crossing and they went under about a year into Trump’s first term.

I’m sure the Biden years brought it back a little, but I assume it’s a ghost town by now.

Clearly some fuckery is going on with ticket sales. For the last few days you could look up any theatre showing the film and very few tickets were sold. I did this myself and chuckled how in very red cities, the 9pm show maybe had 10 tickets sold last night. The afternoon shows were a ghost town.

But here it is being listed as doing 7 million so far.

I assume they’re doing the same thing they do to books. Buy up a shit ton of books and give them out for free.

The truth will be known over the next few weeks because they won’t keep buying tickets after this weekend.

If sales are flat after tonight, it’s all bullshit.
