I don’t think I’ve done a re-watch of LD yet, but I tend to skip very few episodes these days and start from the beginning.

Like, I used to always skip “Take Me Out to the Holosuite” but I didn’t on the last circuit. It’s definitely not one of my favorites, but I did enjoy it that latest time around where I hadn’t before. So now I tend to watch them all even if it’s on my usual skip list.

I’ll admit, this was both funnier and better photoshopped in my head:

I don’t think it’s the fact that certain parts of the country in Sinclair footprints will not see it on TV. It’s that Sinclair is wielding it’s massive footprint as a [partisan] weapon.

Lol, I think that’s how I learned it was possible, too. yt-dlp uses the title as the filename, and all of the emojis came along with it. Was trying to rename them from terminal, but couldn’t do much when half the filenames started with the fire emoji lol.

Someone with musical talent, please start a band and name it “Lesbian Space Crimes” 😆

I’ve recently learned that in Linux, you can use emois in filenames. I died a little lot inside when I learned that.

I think I’m just gonna get some Pi Zeros + cameras and just roll my own. Probably use the NoIR versions and some cheap IR illuminators. Feed those into Zoneminder.

Bonus points if I can find some old CCTV cameras, gut them, and fit the pi camera to those optics.

That’s a real hero move, and I appreciate it.

I’ve read mixed reviews on this episode, but it’s one of my personal favorites.

1. Tuvok!
2. It’s a nice breather episode
3. Any episode where Scott Grimes gets to sing is appreciated
4. “500 cigarettes!”
5. The whole “Leave your phone in a time capsule” aspect was interesting to me. Especially with a video message to people who won’t see it until long after you’re dead. It really shows how much of our lives are captured in technology we have today (both in a positive and worrying light).
6. Grimes and Meester have great chemistry together, and even though the rest of the crew is put off by the fact Gordon is basically dating a hologram of a long dead woman, it’s hard to not find it a little sweet.
7. This is the only thing I have ever seen Leighton Meester in, but somehow I was like “is that Leighton Meester??” when she first showed up.

Definitely a solid breather episode in my book.

Neat. I find it interesting that you’re encouraged to touch the exhibit at all. Usually that’s very discouraged.

I mean, we all have bad days. I’m talking more of the ones that pretty much never have anything constructive to say, only point out minor faults or say it’s not good enough, and apparently saying nothing at all just doesn’t seem like an option.

If they are, and if their goal is to keep us angry, then:

• Bad news: They’re succeeding
• Good News: I’m angry at them rather than whatever they’re aiming for.

I also feel there’s an equal chance they’re just perpetually online buzzkills / Debbie Downers.

I’ve been wanting to start a local Mesh group. There’s nothing coordinated here, though I do see a random node every few days.

Would you care to share a bit about your process of setting up and some of the “checkboxes” one would need to go through to start organizing something like that for an area?

Also, are you going to try to get listed on the Meshtastic local groups list?

I have so many people blocked that the comment count in the feed is basically useless now. lol
