For me the GPS feature with GPX import and music was the one that sold me for running with the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. If it wasn’t I wouldve bought a Garmin.

I use Smart Lock when walking and for Bluetooth on my car and it’s fine honestly

I can’t stand the proximity sensor on calls I had to do this weird hand motion when putting it next to my ear. Anyway I had to always use my pixel buds because that thing was atrocious and battery saver that change my battery optimization settings and didn’t put it back when the phone was charged. So I will miss my emails notifications on Gmail and also the weird bug that the screen was turning on by itself when Gmail fetches new emails. I think they fixed it now.

I went with a pixel 7 and the things I miss the most are Dual Apps, manual camera controls, Qualcomm Quick Charge, floating windows and App Lock.

I bought a Pixel 1 3 months ago just for the Google Photos Unlimited backup such an insane feature. You should buy one if you backup to your NAS and Google Photos at the same time !

I am was previously using cheap Android phones second hand Blackberry Key2, Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 ( God I hated that phone so many issues with Gmail and the proximity sensor).

My smartwatch took a dump Fossil Gen 5 and I wanted a really good battery ( I run a lot and do sports a lot) my options where a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro or Sunnto. I went with the Galaxy Watch.

I really despise the bloated Samsung interface but I know it will pair really good with the smartwatch so I went with the Pixel 7. I regret a bit my choice because I can’t have the latest beta features of my smartwatch and I will have to wait for a couple of months to have the update.

I am considering the Pixel Watch 2 but I kinda fell in love with the health features of Samsung Health with all the body composition that syncs with my scale the together feature where you do some steps challenges. I don’t know I am stuck with 2 ecosystems at the same time.
