Every time I see one of these memes posted, I automatically assume it was some dill hole on his/her phone not paying attention and posts this to try to justify or feel better. I’ve never run into anyone that is that impatient at a light. People honk because you’re not paying attention, and in this day and age it’s usually peeps on their phone.

Yup. Every time I see a post like this I know exactly who it is.
Bosht@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•Moon mining is getting closer to reality: Why we need global rules for extracting space resourcesEnglish1·8 hours agoI feel there are more pressing matters but idk. Maybe I’m being narrow minded, but we won’t be around long enough to enjoy any sort of space expedition if we don’t get global warming under control.
Well yes, obviously it’s a balancing act when making things look good, but optimization is about making what is there run well, not look better.

I’m an older gamer and can’t keep up with hardcore fps play like CoD and Counter Strike. Have been tempted to give this a try but also don’t want another experience of going in and getting thrashed over and over because of skill curve.
Bosht@lemmy.worldto PC Gaming•Surprise! The Anthem servers are still running—but they won't be after January 12English1·1 day agoMan this game had so much potential and the graphics were fucking AMAZING. There were some really good facets to this. Seriously a shame. Who doesn’t want to pop around in iron man - esque armor with heavy guns???
It’s not laziness, it’s bottom line and chasing the dollar. Management doesn’t give a shit about optimization, just MVP (minimum viable product). Speaking as a developer, the mindset of ‘we will fix it after deployment’ is fucking everywhere.

Bosht@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Researchers finds high levels of dangerous air particles(PM2.5) in air near electric vehicle fast charging stations.English394·2 days agoJesus they will release any study to try and smear electric. It’s the same argument as cigs vs vapes. Yes they’re both bad and not the best solution, but one is obviously better than the other. Plus how are they separating contamination of the charging stations from any other area where normal ass cars operate. There’s just as much of a chance if not more that those particles are from the gas vehicles driving around, and not something specific to the chargers.
Just so anyone in here knows: this is a repost bot and not a live account. Don’t waste your efforts.

Their bullshit around pricing is what irks me the most. 500 percent markup with no justification is an abuse to their player base. Like it’s not bad enough you have to assemble and paint which requires further investment (part of the fun but making a point) but they charge you as if they’re assembling and painting them for you. I really wanted to get into it, but realizing all the layers just to be able to play, and then at the end of the road if you do invest all that time/money there’s some meta fuckwit that’s been in it long enough to figure out which faction is the most broken / OP and just wipes the table with your ass while smiling smugly over a rulebook. Literally no desire at this point to even invest. /rant I do enjoy the books/lore/shows bits though. Video games aren’t half bad either. Space Marine 2 was a fuckin blast.
Bosht@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•BREAKING: Deputy commander of Russian Navy killed in Ukrainian strike in Kursk, Russian official confirmsEnglish41·3 days agoDamn, 2 in one week. Fuck yeah!
This has literally been me over the last 3 years. Started making decent money so figured we would replace our old faithful washer and dryer, mostly due to growing family and needing bigger capacity. Fuck Samsung. Washer shit out 2 months outside warranty, and would have cost the price of the washer to fix it. The ‘auto balancing system’ is fucking bullshit. I don’t care if my washer bounces around because the load is unbalanced. My parents’ washer could be as unbalanced as shit and didn’t matter because the whole bin had supports to the frame of the washer. Was it loud if it was an unbalanced load? Fuck yeah. But you could simply rebalance yourself, and continue if you really wanted to. Not necessary though. It would finish washing if it had power, and no force could stop it.

I’m about to jump off the sinking Windows ship and wondering if the Steam OS one is stable enough or I should go with something else. All I use my comp for is gaming and web browsing.

Bro try not capitalizing every other grouping of words / caps locking phrases. You’re not adding anything and you come off like a deranged boomer.
