Absolutely, first thing we need is to stop the bleeding. It’s easier and cheaper for companies to harvest and sell raw product. Same as our LNG, coal, and any other natural resource.

Stop facilitating the pillaging of our land for quick easy profit. Once the government says ‘company, you have no access to the resource unless you process it within 200km of where you found it.’ then we will see a shift.

More jobs, better quality, improvements to infrastructure and medical etc.

What tax? I think too many focus on throwing money at a problem. For generations we had logs processed at local mills. The big shift was the pine beetle, there was heavy investment into pumping as much through the mill as fast as possible. They created super mills. They closed down smaller community based mills to ship logs to bigger centers. Now it costs too much to bring the logs from their closed down communities to their high cost super mills. So they dump that cost on another country who will process without following our safety, pay, or quality standards.

Go back to community managed forests, improve shipping and highways.

  • I love this style of game. I always have one on the go. Some times they scratch the itch, others they miss just a bit. I found that the blasphemous series more dark souls than Metroidvania. Biogun, chasm, bloodstained, any of the ori games, haiku, the mummy demastered, turnip boy commits tax evasion, dust an Elysian tale… I have more but that’s a solid chunk. I’d love to hear from others if they do or don’t consider these in the same family.

Do you consider Zelda64 a MetroidVania? If so then Darksiders has that action, similarly control, soul reaver 1 and 2, and blood omen 2.

It is very interesting to see the pendulum swing. I do find the title misleading as the article appears to only apply to wearing religious symbols and it only applying to new employees as already employed are exempt.

It also doesn’t seem to differentiate between public, private or subsidized daycares. Lots of open air in this article.

This sounds like a troll comment, but I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. People should and do listen to everything trump says. Because it is important to know what is being imposed or done in the world. Just like this topic, if you don’t want to participate in discussion that is fine, but you should not be saying ‘I am willingly ignorant and everyone else is the problem’

Right? And not only that, how many down vote without participating in the discussion or even watching the video.

I understand holding a person to standard. But to say ‘I didn’t watch, I didn’t read but I don’t like the guy.’ that’s not what online community or discussion are about.

Absolutely 100% Once they had gotten the announcement out, and the public could see that there had been no donations, it should have been handled by professionals. Jirard wanting to know where the money went was important to him and was something that he had committed to right from the start. From his video it sounded like it came down to his morals on the donation or his commitment to donate right after the annual events. It’s a no win situation once he was aware in 2023.

I’ve been following him for years and I was very surprised when the news broke. He admits to fault in that he didn’t announce the struggles finding a group to donate to. I’m in Canada and we have some crazy rules to do a big donation too.

you lucked out honestly. After book 4 (1997) when we werent sure if there was anything more coming, King got hit by a car in '99. It wasn’t until 2003 when we got the next book in the series, and I dont remember there being a bunch of hype beforehand. Just, King releasing stories again in 2001.

A 6 year wait was brutal, and then the last 3 books of the series came out as fast as most people could read them. (2000 pages of story in 2 years) It was an amazing sprint to the end of a story, that King wasnt sure he was going to be a part of. So it was really amazing to see.
