Arushi Nath, a Grade 8 student from Toronto, won the top award for her project on planetary defense against near-earth asteroids at a Canada-wide science fair held in Edmonton, Alberta. Susan Hay has the story.[Video]
I remember my grade 8 science fair project almost 25 years ago, I also did asteroids. I flung marbles at a cake pan full of coffee and flour to make impact craters… Meanwhile today’s kids are actually trying to solve problems. Good for them.
Kids were trying to solve problems 25 years ago, too, even if you weren’t.
I was trying to solve a problem too. How to get a passing grade on something I put together an hour before the fair, lol
Did the asteroids originate from Klendathu? Send in the Mobile Infantry?
Would you like to know more?
Ugh. A video story. Instead of actually reading, we can painstakingly watch a clip as someone else does a sloooowwww voiceover.
