Benning was always praised for his drafting, and wanting Pettersson as his guy, but according to Linden, he would’ve picked someone else. Think Benning would’ve preferred Glass? Vilardi? Those were the names heard around then by most. No way we would’ve been happy with anyone taken after Pettersson.

As good as he is, I feel like he was one of the main reasons we didn’t do a rebuild. This tear is unexpected and I’m happy to be proven wrong, but all the evidence said otherwise a couple of seasons ago.
