I have changed my name with like 80 services but there’s still so more I need to get around to updating. I wish I had my new name sooner because at the time I wasn’t signed up for so many things haha.

I mean it’s satisfying everytime they tell me “Your name has been changed miss”

Yes, it’s so much work - I had a pretty unique first name that I had been using as my pseudonym on social media etc. and that was an extra hassle, + THE EMAILS! Changing the email address on EVERYTHING was such a nightmare and I still haven’t bothered on some of them haha

Why do you have so many services you used your “real” name for? I thought it was normal (among Lemmings) to use pseudonyms unless explicitly required to use “real” names (e.g., bank accounts).

No, it’s not normal to use pseudonyms for everything where you get billed, which can be a lot of small different services.

(And more generally, I don’t think this is the nicest or most useful thing to say to someone who’s venting.)

Sorry, that wasn’t the intent at all. It was just what came to mind for me. I can recognize that it’s their post to vent though.

I guess I just assumed people didn’t generally use their real name for Doordash, Amazon, etc., but rather only for the actual bank accounts behind the transactions. It is what it is.

Ahh yeah, I’ve always seen people put their real name when they live in apartments so that the delivery person would know who to call. But that’s a good point, I might start using pseudonyms :)
