      Regardless of what he says, the main thing that Ronaldo cared about is personal glory. This is a guy that at times would look irritated if someone scored a goal for his team instead of him.

    The Ballon D’or is honestly kinda lame now. It should be more about the individuals performance more than anything. Argentina won the world cup, not just Messi. It should be about the individual players impact on the game/sport for that calendar year. I stopped caring about it after Ronaldo and Messi both won the award when there were better options (IMO) in the running who had a much bigger impact besides netting an insane amount of goals.

    He chose the best league in the world, in order to make sure he is still the best of the best. No way he chose to play desert football for money right?
