Caffeine toxicity kicks in at about 1200mg for a fairly typically sized adult. A cup of coffee is about 100mg caffeine. There are a few caffeine powders that are 200mg per scoop. This is fucking wild how is this legal hahaha

Honestly, this one could be real. People poisoning themselves with caffeine powder isn’t particularly uncommon. A friend of mine OD’d on caffeine and spent a week in the hospital.

I always assume these texts are fake but I can totally hear

“A man prepared his own energy drink without reading the instructions. This is what happened to his brain.”

          In Chubby Emu’s voice

          Edit:

Would you look at that, I just found a similar video but the dosage is higher. So this green text could be real.

Back when I was trying to wean off soda I tried caffeine pills. Avg is 200mg per tic tac sized pill so one could easily od and it’s OTC as well

Yeah I mean I came here to say this is fake but then I looked into it. It’s at least disturbingly plausible. I assumed there was no way a drink would have 200mg caffeine in powder form but here we are.

For sure it’s fake, 99% of greentext are. Most drink mixes are one or two scoops at most. No one would put 5 scoops of a random powder in a drink without at least glancing at the instructions. Not even a tired idiot.

Bruh, I’m a moron with no regard for self and a seemingly instant high tolerance to most substances I’ve tried. I would do some dumb shit like this and meet my match.

My dad would. My Ef-gf would. Neither ever read the instructions for anything. The other day my dad was out to heat a frozen tamale. Peeled off the wrapping while it was frozen. Stabbed it with scissors (?). then put it in the oven to bake it. Definitely not what the package said to do.

There are pre-workouts that can have around 700mg of caffeine per scoop. Look up Hooligan, shit will make you run a 5k on a whim and you’ll still be buzzing.

Yea it’s messed up, I only take half scoops and only use it when I have 0 interest in working out but know that I should to not be a fat fuck. One thing about that particular brand though, it tastes like shit.

I’ve done as much as 600-800 in a day by drinking several large espresso drinks. It’s not very pleasant.

The LD50 is around 190mg/kg. Assuming that the average person is about 70kg, 13,300mg is an average dose that would kill half of the people that consume it.

So no, caffeine is not particularly dangerous. If you manage to get hold of pure anhydrous caffeine–I’ve got a few kg stashed away–*that can be dangerous, mostly because it can be confused with things like creatine monohydrate unless you’re very, very careful about labeling your supplements.
