Hags are well known for their ability to change their appearance. They typically tend to choose age-appropriate forms, though – I haven’t seen a lot of stories of adventurers seduced by a shapechanged night hag or green hag.

Although she’s been told to stay in granny form at the Changeling’s wedding, Nanny Muk won’t let that slow her down.

What’s going on here?

• Tamilda, a perfectly normal teen girl, is BFFs with Kayra, a young night hag.
• Kayra lives with her “husband”, a retired adventurer named Singing Cricket, and her coven, who are her mothers and teachers.
• Granny Dismal is the matriarch of the coven. Nanny Muk is more free spirited. They’re both powerful hags you don’t want to mess with.
• They were all invited to the wedding of the strange creature that replaced Kayra as a baby.
• Hags do not often enter human cities. When they do, they do so in disguise.
• Why is Tamilda’s outfit changing in every panel? She’s trying out a present from Nanny.
