That seems fairly average for a QB these days. Remember cap just went by A LOT. As I recall Darnold deal is very cheap. $100 over 3 years and this is presummably his peak years. Kid got robbed.

It’s still a lot for a “prove it” deal. Fields only got 20 mil, Baker got 33 mil. Jones is definitely better than Fields but idk if I’d rather have him than Baker, and definitely not at $10m more. And without his injury this season, I’m not sure it ends as rosy as it started. It also uses up about 80% of their free cap space, not that most of it wasn’t going to DJ anyways.
He was doing great for them until got hurt.
