As a Bills fan, I’d have rather seen a WR taken in the first couple rounds, but I’m not upset about this.
He’s been healthy and productive - not as much last year but da Bears had multiple young receivers who played very well, so they got targets.
They may still take a WR who can learn from a solid veteran.
God I hope so. Beane just can’t draft WRs. Bills have a history of being able to draft receivers until he came along.
Interesting, the Bills are in salary cap hell right now, this can’t possibly help
Beane is going to have to show all of his magic tricks. He needs to win superbowl in the next 2 years or he’s gone. He stabbed his buddy in the back, and got himself promoted. He’s on a short leash.
On the other hand, if it actually does happen he’ll be a legend in Buffalo
Love this move for the Bills and for DJ Moore. Moore has proven time and again to be a great wide receiver, he’s just been limited by bad to mid quarterback play. Caleb Williams and DJ Moore never got on the same page, and Williams struggles to hit the broad side of a barn. Going to Buffalo and Josh Allen should see DJ Moore bounce back to true WR1 status. Remember that Moore had 1,364 yards and 8 touchdowns with Justin Fields throwing him the ball.
For the Bears this is just a necessary move. They cut his targets and gave them to Rome Odunze, who needs to prove this was the right move now. And to Luther Burden III who will need to prove that he is good enough to be a WR2 and to cut the attitude problems out. The Bears also need to hope for an accuracy jump from Caleb Williams for any of this to matter. No more sub 60% accuracy from him.
Bears have a ton of good receivers so this was a logical move. And got a nice return for him too.
