It’s annoying to have to scroll back up to view the clock l, change music or skip ads in pod carts so I’d like to be able to see and interact with the top notification bar all the time

This doesn’t happen to me either. Pixel 7 Pro. The Android top bar is always visible.
What phone/os are you using? For me the status-bar stays visible
