Demand the money back from tax savings and investments, from GM and Stellantis, kick them out and sell the plants to BYD, Xiaomi and Geely.

Bring back the digital services tax, then use that money and the clawback subsidies for US automakers to buy the idled plants for pennies on the dollar then build made in Canada EVs for the domestic market.

Let’s get this BYD shit rolling. We don’t have an auto industry, we have the American auto industry with a Maple leaf branded on-top.

It was over a billion in the 2023-2024 era, but I actually think they rolled a bunch of stuff back. It wasn’t cash upfront, and when they shuttered CAMI, I think they forfeited their rights to a lot of the $500mm in funding that had been allocated for retooling and whatever else.

At this point GM can suck a fat dick too. Fucking traitors. Everyone pisses all over me as a Tesla owner. I mean yeah it sucks for sure, I wouldn’t have bought it in 2023 if I knew what I knew now, but I’m not taking a gigantic loss because the Internets mad. Plus it’s been the first reliable car I’ve had in several years. But that whole disclaimer aside, it kind of irritates me that I got old ladies flipping me off in traffic from GM vehicles, and it’s like you are driving a traitormobile yourself there, Beatrice. We all are.

Next time around, I’ll take a look at one.

I’m not really buying another car anytime soon, as I’m not one for the habit of frequent car buying. Especially in accordance to the whims of current events, which change by the hour in our current times.
