Welcome inbound reddit folk, now that we have patient gaming up and running, time to dust off a catch all emulation sub!

Playing Zelda: ToTK right now myself, about to set up another folder in Syncthing so that I can have cloud saves between my deck, main PC, and living room PC.

After that I have Xenoblade 3 scheduled.

I’m playing Red Dead Redemption 1 and Undead Nightmare on Xenia at the moment.

I can’t stress enough how incredible it is to be able to not only be able to play it without the glitches and bugs from the updates, but in 60fps in my fairly mid tier system. My friend with an RX470 and was able to play and complete with 30fps 1080p.

It’s as good as one can wish for in terms of having a PC port. Performs better than on console, higher framerates than PS3/Xbox 360 even at the lower end of hardware, and minimal input lag as compared to playing it on my Xbox One X.

The fact that the game is so inaccessible for multiple reason; not available in the PS store, no PC port, only available for Xbox users but Undead Nightmare has game breaking bugs…

It’s a literal game-changer, and this was only possible since August last year. Ive heard RSPC3 has always made huge strides in emulating RDR1 which I intend to try because of its FSR support.

I had no idea 360 emulation was a real functional thing these days, it just seem like that system got skipped over interest wise

Are you getting stretched cutscenes on yours still? I’m liking my 21:9 UI mod overall, but the stretched cutscenes are taking some of my enjoyment out of it

      • My kind of janky solution is just to hit F11 during cutscenes to exit fullscreen and then resize or snap the window to be at a 16:9 ratio. Windows 11 (and I would imagine 10 as well) seems to remember the position and size of the application that you set in windowed mode even after going back to full screen, so you can switch back and forth between aspect ratios pretty easily this way.
