Idk if people already saw this, but Daniel Haqiqatjou just got denounced by the dawah bros. Like, collectively. They dropped a joint statement telling Muslims not to take knowledge from him.

They accuse him of undermining tawhid, validating shirk, being gravely dangerous to Muslims, being a liability to dawah, and they urge the community to avoid him entirely as a religious source. In dawah Islamic terms, accusing someone of validating shirk and undermining tawhid is takfir, even if you avoid using the word. So, they basically takfir-ed him.

Remember, there’s no scholars involved. Instead it’s random YouTubers, podcasters, dawah bros, and so-called influencers.

I don’t like Daniel but the deepest irony is that Daniel isn’t in anyway become “liberal” or “progressive” at all. He’s still very conservative. His only sin was exposing wahhabism

And many of the same people signing this have defending child marriage, slavery, accused others of bidah, incited mob violence, and harassed women online and some even cheated on their wives. Now they suddenly present themselves as protectors against extremism, guardians of the “ummah” lol.
