I don’t know what your rules are about this, so let me know.
[email protected] has gained probably around 100 subscribers in the last few days after we announced we were creating a community on lemmy.one, I would imagine mainly from new lemmy.ml users who haven’t figured out federation quite yet.
What I would like to do if you add me as mod is lock the community to indicate it’s not the place people are actually looking for, and pin the post about the new community ([email protected]).
The current mod appears to be inactive, and owns a ton of random communities on lemmy.ml.
“Privacy Guides” is a website and Subreddit (r/PrivacyGuides) with a specific team of people writing content and working with our community, so it’s not like anybody would reasonably expect a second community using our logo to be completely unrelated to us, which is why I feel the current community on lemmy.ml is misleading.
