I showed my wife this meme and her response was: “Crowns? That’s a Danish. You deserve wasps.”

The actual danish name is wienerbrød, and it’s the same in many other languages just with their name for bread instead of brød. Wienerbröd in Swedish for example.

Fun fact: “wienerbrød” and “danish” are both correct, since it was invented in Copenhagen by Viennese bakers.

I guess the English equivalent would be Viennese bread, then.

Vienna’s Germanic name is Wien. “Wiener” means “from Vienna.”

And Weiner is an American English euphemism for penis, so weinerbrod sounds kinda funny.

It does, but that’s an us issue. Sausage from Vienna = wiener, sausages look like penises. “Come on” makes it sound like Denmark has any part in it, which they don’t.

Raspberry crown borers aren’t wasps, they’re moths that look like wasps - I guess it helps with survival. They eat their way into the crown at the base of plants, so they’re considered a pest.

Also, their scientific name is Pennisetia marginata so I’m gonna imagine them as penis-loving margarita enthusiasts 😁

or just like, crush you to death with it.

although getting crushed by a massive amount of sweet pastry actually sounds kinda tempting now that I think about it.

If a genie wants to be an ass, nothing you say will save you. However, if they’re just being literal with no ill intent, choosing your words extremely carefully would be beneficial.

How many wasps coult as a “lifetime supply”? I don’t consume any wasps, so by that definition, I would get no wasps.
