I think I know what’s happening here, I made a change where if Settings: Remember Comment list position is enabled it will load a cached version of the comments so the position that gets restored is correct. I might need to adjust the logic there.

Either the comments don’t load, or, comments may take a few seconds to fade-in.
This should be fixed now in v291.

Sorry, after a bit of messing around, the issue returned.
It doesn’t happen with every post though and seems sporadic.
Interesting… is it loading a cached version or returning 0 comments? Does it seem related to remembering comment scroll position?
When I open a post, it may initially show zero comments. A pull-down refresh fixes it. It doesn’t happen on all posts all the time though.
