I got this shirt along with several others from an estate sale of a 70 year Canadian guy from Ottawa. I tried googling “brigade” and “PNP” and haven’t had much luck, but my guess currently is that this guy has something to do with the Philippine National Police? The previous owner was not Filipino

Pretty sure that’s Andrew Holness but it looks like he’s JLP not PNP. Now I’m confused. He was PM of Jamaica for three months at the end of 2011. An election was held at that point and the PNP won, displacing him. Perhaps that was a shirt PNP supporters at the time were using to rally the troops, or a shirt printed afterwards to mock him for only being in for 3 months… I have no idea. I fell down this rabbit hole and I honestly can’t find my way out. Just gonna go with the flow my lil ADD adventure.

The “3” on the shoulder does feel like it might be a reference to the 3 months thing. It does seem weird having a huge photo of your opponent’s face on you but if these were made for some one-off event, it might explain that, plus why it’s so hard to find any information in hindsight.

Something funny about People’s National Party being the left-wing one and Jamaican Labour Party being the right-wing one

Definitely the logo matches, but who is the guy? What does the brigade and the 3 refer to? The people must know!
