A little historical reference

Imagine your head in the mouth of a leopard, you flailing and pushing away, and grabbing at whatever you can, while the leopard, slowly, casually, carefully crushes your skull.
Nah, most likely post mortum:
“We know that to reach the inside of the mandible [lower jaw] of OH7 (as the leopard did) and break the mandibular corpus, a substantial amount of flesh and tongue had to be removed first,” Domínguez-Rodrigo said. “This indicates consumption and not just a bite to kill.”
They were 4-5 feet tall and around 75lbs. A leopard would have crushed it’s throat in a single quick bite, snapping the neck.
Then ate it’s face, likely to get all the tongue out, maybe to try and get to the brain.
