I remember him from the Netflix documentary. He was the first of the experts that Rush got rid off because they were telling Rush what he did not want to hear.
That documentary was crazy. When they tested models and it kept crushing before meeting depth, all he would say was it will work at full size. At the end he was surrounded by either yes men or ppl fresh out of uni. That test where it was just Rush going down and it was constant popping. You can hear him getting more and more scared. When he aborted early, he said it was on purpose to mark the dive. He knew he was full of shit, but his ego wouldn’t allow him to say he was wrong.
