I was watching women’s Euro 2025, when an idea struck me!

What if women and men played together every season, but each week men or women would play a game, and they would gather points for the team!

Example: Liverpool Women would play PL and CL this week, and men would play the next week PL and CL next week. The points system will stay the same, 1 team Liverpool with 2 squads, gathering points every week depending on on their outcome.

Would you watch it? Would it be interesting?

Yes! Imagine if women won last week, and to stay in the race for the pl, men must win! Or the opposite. It would be crazy!

It’s an interesting idea, but I think that you’d have the issue of a certain subsection of male fans being absolutely brutal to the women, even of their own club.

Fans can be pretty mean about any players of course, but can you imagine the degree of sickening bile that’d pour forth if a mistake by a member of the women’s team cost a goal, or a match, or a chance at winning a trophy or whatever?

Yea that’s true, it would be not good for women.

It’s a shame, because it’s a fun idea - would definitely force clubs to take women’s football more seriously!
