RESOLVED: Seems language undeterimed was causing the issue. Hitting back in the browser (in old.lemmy on chrome) retains the post contents. All I had to do was select English and resubmit.

Yea I just spent like an hour typing out a submission and when I hit submit it just dissapeared.
I honestly am so disappointed.
Can someone help me figure out what happened? Was it because I didn’t select a language??
Do you have relatively precise time you tried to submit the post? I’ll see if I can find something in the server logs.

No sadly
then it’s probably not viewer preference related (like gaving different language settings in the client than the post)
I guess I’ll just have to be happy it wasn’t my fault.
