its a motherfucking website how it should be
where is the horror?
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/361633/html-attribute-bgcolor-is-deprecated-what-to-use-instead
I don’t see the horror either. Just an out of date website.
white background with black text is pretty much the default everywhere and I think always has been, so specifying those colors is redundant (and breaks night mode, though I don’t think that was a thing back when it was designed)
breaks night mode
I’m trying to think which night mode you are talking about.
The Dark mode setting in
Falkon
just did the dark mode thing that it does.
Dark Reader in Firefox also did its thing and made it dark. I had to disable it to see the white. So maybe some other browser?
You can theoretically change the default colours for a lot of things in the Firefox settings. (I believe at least text and links but I assume the BG would work too)
Oh I thought I was missing something because this post rendered as
Creator of Python has “” on his personal website
for me (using Voyager). It wasn’t until I clicked reply that I saw the full actual text of the post.
So Voyager might have XSS problems 🙈
what does this look like:
<marquee>e</marquee>
Shoes as
<marquee>e</marquee>
to me (again on Voyager)
this is the Jerboa experience
Once I went into reply mode it shows the marquee markdown in this comment
It’s possible that it uses different rendering for the title so this is probably not a great test.
WTF
