Global Underground started by making mix cassettes and then commercials with CDs, showcasing the Club Scene back then. Some mixes used to be recorded live, while others were made in the studio or were mixed and recorded in the studio.

Global Underground: Live in Tel Aviv, mixed by Tony De Vit, was the first to be released officially, and then more CDs came featuring DJs like Deep Dish, John Digweed, Nick Warren, Paul Oakenfold, Dave Seaman and went on featuring various cities.

The pattern was always 2 CDs, 1 hour + each, mixed with new and old tracks, tracks that were played in clubs at the time.
