hey all, I have seen a couple of comments discussing foldable simracing rigs. I’ve had the chance to get my hands on the Next Level Racing GT-Lite Foldable Simracing Rig, so I wanted to share some insights.

If you want to dive deeper into this, check out a more detailed review with more pictures right here!

tldr:

  • Assembly: Putting it together is a breeze, and it’s versatile enough to work with various setups.

  • Adjustments: You’ve got some flexibility in customizing your wheel and pedal positions, but the backrest angle is set in stone.

  • Comfort: It’s pretty convenient, but it does make a few comfort sacrifices in the name of portability.

  • Space Savings: If you’re tight on space, this rig is a godsend. It folds up neatly for effortless storage.

  • Conclusion: Looking for a robust and portable solution to bring realism to your sim racing adventures in a cramped space? This seems like a solid solution.

I use the F-GT Lite as my main rig and have no real complaints. It’s everything I would want from a midrange foldable rig.

I do want to add a bass shaker or two and I think it’ll be a perfectly reasonable cockpit for 95% of people.

Edit - I of course would always welcome as solid of a wheel mounting system as possible. The Lite has some wiggle but it can be compensated for with few tweaks.

Got a Playseat Challenge myself, pretty decent for the price and handles my g920 well. Some vibrations from FFB goes into the frame but I just think it adds to the experience. I also drive in VR so I can just chuck it up wherever and drive all day without needing to have monitors set up. Easy to transport if you move too. Hardware can remain mounted while folded up.

I have a Playseat Challenge too. Can’t wait to move and to get rid of it for a proper rig. The whole thing lifts up when I press harder on the break pedal.
