The US has been captured by far right extremists pushing shit that nobody actually cares about. Like but for far right propaganda, most Americans wouldn’t give a shit about putting gender identity on IDs. Hell! A few years ago, there’d’ve been a contingent of libertarians questioning why the government needs gender information in the first place! So sad. It’s just nazi Germany: find a vulnerable group and turn the public against them, then strip that group of their civil rights.
