I consider it significantly more civilized to pre-cut meats and fried foods. (reduces the requirement to use gaudy steak knives on a table - especially with fried foods)
To each their own, but it definitely hasn’t lost its food porn status over that - if anything, I think the slices have elevated it.
Edit: Welp, looks like I’m dying on this hill.
Edit 2: Here’s a photo of some steak and mushroom pasta I made the other day - notice how the steak is pre sliced. I don’t care about the down votes, I’m here eating my food with nothing but a fork and a smile.
