So here’s a head-scratcher for me…
How can wildflowers NOT BE perennial…?
Got my partner to get me wildflowers seeds and she came back home with “annual” wildflowers…now I’m no biology expert here but this has me scratching my head.
Who woudda think it…

Annual and perennial refers to whether the plant itself will survive more than one season. Annuals need to re-seed every year, where perennials will survive through other means.
Why would they be perennial? They distribute their seeds in autumn, next year you get the new generation.
Fun fact, they can be either, depending on the species!
