I just spent roughly 15 hours in a car over the past couple of days listening almost entirely to sesame street music. I can hear it in his voice.
Get out of my head.

You are either a loving parent …
or a victim of state sponsored illegal imprisonment and psychological torture
No, that would be Barney
Or both!?! 🤣
But why do you think there are so many songs about rainbows
Who gives a shit
Edit: omgrofl i know what’s on the otherside but just didn’t juxtapose as well
Cookie Monster: nods for his aids to leave
Elmo: …
CM: “It’s underbaaaaaaaaked!!”
This is the best thing I’ve read all
dayyear.Faith in humanity: restored.
(Now time to break it again! 🤪)
Oh man, everybody opening up to elmo was the best.
This is great. Love it.
But why’s it in ten forward?Dude. Elmo got hard.
(Thank you. I could never get into ds9)
Give it another shot. I hated (hated) hated it in the beginning.
There are character arcs that will confound you, but there’s others that are humanizing and beautiful.
I think, like next gen, if i skip a season i might get into it easier
I’d use a skip guide if you’re struggling, season 1 is basically just the opening 2 partner and ‘Duet’, which came out of nowhere.
But it’s so so good when you get into it.
Personally I like season one a lot but I understand this stance. However, you should never sleep on In The Hands of the Prophets. An amazing ep just as good as duet in my book.
As others have said, it starts kinda aimlessly. But it gets really good as it goes. It’s my favorite series in the franchise.
DS9 is the best version of Star Trek
I just want to second everything everyone here says ds9 is a great minivan
Everyone needs a good minivan once in a while
Don’t feel bad … I think I tried starting and restarting it about four times over the past ten years … I only just recently finished watching it about two months ago … and as others have said, it takes a while to get into it but when you do, you really get into it.
Echoing what EmpathicVagrant said. DS9 takes a bit to get going, and there are a few early episodes which don’t hold up, but once you’re into late S1, it goes hard and keep going.
That’s a line from Sisko.
"I am an accessory to murder. But the most damning thing of all… I think I can live with it. And if I had to do it all over again, I would. Garak was right about one thing: a guilty conscience is a small price to pay for the safety of the Alpha Quadrant. So I will learn to live with it… Because I can live with it… I can livewith it…
-DS9, In the Pale Moonlight.Say what you want about Sisko, he’s the best captain in ST; for three reasons.
- he was morally complicated. His ethics were both uncompromising and dubious.
- he wasn’t the kind of captain you’d give a starship to. Before getting sent to DS9, he had gone ROAD, was just coasting, designing half-baked warships (the defiant,) that the Feddies were ever going to produce (because it didn’t have enough kids on board.)
and 3), he’s the only captain to ever KO Q. … and Q never bothers him again.
Sisko’s a badass, but he’s no Janeway.
She don’t lose sleep over nothin.
She ain’t got coffee. She’s so sleepy.
With exception to drinking too much coffee.
Genocide for coffee Janeway
Janeway is great, but she’s also kind of a tyrannical psychopath. Which, while perfect for the mission she was given… doesn’t compare to The Sisko.
see #3. Janeway entertained Q’s bullshit and he kept trying to hook up with her. shoulda just kicked him in the balls.
edit: in a slightly more serious tone, Janeway wasn’t trying to make moral decisions, per se. the argument, for example, with Scorpion and the fight between 8472 and the Borg, wasn’t about being ethical or moral. It was about getting home. she said it herself… “We’re a federation starship, with a federation crew… but how do we do that so far from home, cut off from everything the Federation stands for?” (paraphrasing.) If a decision came down to getting home or being ‘morally justifiable’, she was choosing ‘getting home’.
Not the only male she had to fend off.
In fact, the only one she persistently pursued was the holographic Irishman.
Because we don’t have a Quark’s for DS9-specific memes.
Well done
DS9
Ah. Thanks
I can just picture Oscar holding up a data rod proclaiming, “It’s a faaaaaake!”
Delete this entire episode if sesame street
Dang. I’d pay good money to see Elmo bitch slap Garak. Follow it with Elmo’s trademark giggle.
Kind of related, I just discovered this and thought I’d share: https://youtu.be/ZDaHt51qHEo
This feels like a reference to the most recent episode of The Last of Us.
