The tariff relief, which affects big Chinese e-commerce players including Shein and Temu, follows a deal between Beijing and Washington to unwind most of the duties imposed on each other’s goods since early April, after weekend talks in Geneva.

Wow Reuters, good reporting. He increased the tariff on these packages to 120% from 0%, then reduced the increase to 54%.

What a stunning “slash” of the tariff on these shipments, he only increased them 54%!

We should all be so excited that a new federal sales tax that didn’t go through congress, and hasn’t been challenged by congress, is only at absurd levels instead of straight embargo levels.

This really just helps big companies, like Shein and Temu. So now these companies can restock all their US warehouses at 30%, meanwhile anyone who wants to order from a china direct marketplace has to pay 54%.
