Created in 1985 by Scottish-Canadian Lawrence Gowan. Gowan was born in Scotland, but immigrated to Scarborough Ontario when he was younger. Gowan’s career is mostly entirely contained within Canada, with most popular being in Toronto, the epicenter of his career. As of this post, 1/10 of Gowan’s 101k monthly listeners are from Toronto.

Oh neat! Would hear this on the radio all the time on Capital FM in Edmonton before they dissolved. That radio station ruined a lot of rock for me with how often it would repeat tunes, but this was definitely one of the more enjoyable songs they’d play.
Now leader singer of Styx as well. I hope I can see them before they all retire, missed seeing Gowan doing his solo material when I was younger…
