Saw your post over on Masto. Would be good to get some life in here!
I’m in the wrong timezone to watch most games so I’m always happy when there’s a matinee.
Tomorrow’s your day! I’m hoping we can take at least 1 game in Dallas. We’ll see how they respond and whether they can counter a dialled in Jets team.
Good game. Don’t live in Winnipeg but glad you guys got a team again. Been rooting for them casually for a year plus now. Hope they can go all the way.
Tough loss last night; I’ll be interested in seeing the analytics…felt to me while watching that the Jets generally outplayed Dallas but just couldn’t finish. Powerplay needs to succeed when they get the chance and the Jets are getting boxed out hard by Dallas and not changing their PP strategy at all.
Dallas has been riding hot players that find ways to finish in this series, and it’s all the difference for the Jets.
Loved seeing the Fleury/Miller third line last night. No big mistakes and contributed to the pressure the Jets were able to apply in the O-Zone. Dallas isn’t playing in a way that really needs Schenn or Stanley’s size; I hope we see this pairing in more games.
Hell of a game tonight. Now all the Jets need to do is figure out how to bring that intensity and pressure to their road game and they’ll have a legitimate chance of taking the series.
When the Jets are playing the game they played all year, they stymie the Stars.
Looks like they’re playing Miller & Fleury as the third pair again today. Won’t be surprised if we see that more often through the rest of the playoffs; I don’t think we’re going to need the muscle on the back end in the same way until maybe the cup finals.
