Wait, gravity roughly accelerates an object as a square, the spiral with a linear funnel increases in circumference as a square.
So I think you could have a downward funnel like this where the speed of rotation is constant.

It’s literally the image Geordi is referencing in the meme about being stuck in a loop. Riker asks how many times and Geordi says dozens, hundreds, it’s impossible to know.
