Asked during her interview with CTV News whether she would be open to a position in Prime Minister Mark Carney’s cabinet, May said with a laugh: “Sure, but it’s pretty hypothetical.”

She added the caveat that she’d be unwilling to give up the Green banner for a position in cabinet, so any seat on Carney’s front bench would be as a member of the party she’s represented in the House since 2011.

She would do good in both, and she’s never been one to sit back and do nothing.

I doubt I could make House Speaker but maybe Condo Speaker at best.

Most likely Park Bench Speaker is my future

As someone who voted for the Greens in the previous election I’m past it as far as her involvement goes.

But I will mention that type of approximate whataboutism from that era is the foundation for “hippy” to right wing wellness grift of today.

It’s really not reasonable, it’s the same language and “skepticism” from anti vaxxers. We shouldn’t be tolerant of this from political leaders just because we kinda like them.

Elizabeth May is from the old school granola hippie crowd in Victoria, she’s a great legal mind but not scientific.

So what would be the reasonable stance in your opinion?

Not dog whistling the anti science crowd by saying there’s “some” evidence (there isn’t) that it might not be safe.

Maybe you can expand a bit on what you think the scientists did wrong?
