I didn’t sign up for any list. I also heard that you shouldn’t text STOP to these messages because they use that as confirmation of my number?

I reported it to spam, I’m just curious if these are legit and how you handle these?

      I think it’s the same. I started getting both kinds of texts at the same time having hardly ever gotten any spam previously.

    I got one a while back and did exactly the same thing. Don’t respond, block the number, report as spam.

    A few months ago I started getting these texts from various women asking claiming to be from the federal conservatives, the provincial ones when an election was on and polling companies.

    I haven’t got them (yet). Just use your device to block the number. If you want to register a complaint to the appropriate government department, that’s cool. I think interacting with the sender in any way (like texting “stop”) will result in you getting more of these messages in the future
