SARASOTA, FL—As part of an effort to expose the student body to a variety of cultural perspectives, the New College of Florida announced Thursday that it had invited English comedian and podcaster Russell Brand to teach a sexual assault workshop. “Mr. Brand has an incredible range of experience he can share with both students and the local community alike,” said New College of Florida president Richard Corcoran, adding that the school would be conferring an honorary degree upon the British actor, whom he lauded as a leading scholar in the field of nonconsensual studies. “He’s a freethinker and a free-doer. Gifted young sex pests who would like to attend ‘Touching Without Permission’ can register now. Mr. Brand has promised there will be plenty of hands-on experience.” At press time, reports confirmed the college had been forced to postpone the workshop after new charges were filed against Brand in the state of Florida.

He’s a leading scholars in the field of nonconsensual studies alright.
Is there a word for something both funny and depressing at the same time ?
Yes: The Onion
Oh god, it my old boss saying “sexual harassment training teaches you how to properly sexually harass someone hardy harr harr.”
The Onion is on point. I thought to myself “Fuck more Desantis bullshitary” before seeing the URL
It’s a how to, not a how not to.
I thought the picture was AI generated, but I guess he does show a lot of sclera.
IIRC The Onion has a policy against using AI images, though they have previously apologized for doing so accidentally
That’s good to hear. It’s just, he looks very intense in the thumbnail, for a lack of a better way of phrasing it, I could’ve been fooled. They probably picked that photo on purpose though.
Could also be photoshopped
@ZeroCool
Oh, so that is why the class was canceled for the Spring 2025 semester. I was pretty sure we had enough people sign up but they just up and canceled the class on us
