This might be useful in conjunction with a Carney government’s agenda to build housing.
There’s no reason mayors should be more powerful than any other member of their council. But municipal governments are just toys the provinces play with so who cares I guess.
I’m just thinking of a silver lining. Generally not a huge fan of the strong mayor powers.
