You simply cannot trust anything about China that comes from the US or its media (Radio Free Asia, National Endowment for Democracy, etc.) They print everything from nuanced propaganda to outright lies. Remember the whole “social credit score” nonsense? Fucking myth. China implemented a new credit score system that’s used by businesses to apply for loans, no different than what’s used in the US, but only in the US was it used to determine if someone could get a certain job (though I’m fairly certain this was banned) or rent a certain apartment. It’s just projection and distraction.
