Honda will partner with US companies to test in orbit a renewable energy technology it hopes to one day deploy on the moon's surface, the Japanese carmaker announced Friday.

    So it’s an electrolysis device. Is there anything particularly special or novel about Honda’s system?

      It’s actually using a solid oxide electrolysis cell designed for microgravity that can generate H2 at much higher efficiency than conventional systems, plus it integrates with their new solar array tech thats supposedly 30% more efficent than current ISS panels.
