The prophecy of Isaiah does not necessitate exclusive patrilineage:

“And there shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse and a Branch out of his roots shall grow.”

“Will spring a shoot the stem of Jesse. Branch his roots will bear.”

The authenticity of Jesus excludes human patrilineage.

According to ancient Judaic texts, the “Father” of Jesus was Elohim.

Kings or Queens may be liked, or disliked.  They may be subjectively or objectively “good” or “bad”.  Whatever the quality of a King or Queen, they are nonetheless a Monarch.

Herod was an Idumaean, and thereby unqualifiable as a “King” of Israel, under the laws of Israel.  Queen Athalia was regnant suo jure (In Her Own Right) of the Kingdom Of Judah.

There are very few families that have recorded their ancestry from ancient eras.  Jewish families, in particular, have had particular difficulty in maintaining familial records.  During the holocaust, for example, one might imagine the attention to detail a Nazi soldier would have taken in the painstaking difference between the spellings of Zabrowska and Zebrowska, when registering the names of disembarked captives who were all but sure to be murdered.  The effects of that indifference combined with the power of the pen,  are profound.  There is only one family I am aware of that is able to trace its lineage into what is considered “pre-history”.
