Pipeline across the country is great and very necessary. It absolutely has been stagnation and scandals and lies

      No

      Election reform?

      Yes that part sucked.

Unhinged spending? Going hard left and attacking peoples rights, attacking unions, ect.

…what? Unhinged spending? How? “Hard left”? No… what rights were attacked?

You’re worried about fascism, but support a government that was forcing you to get a vaccination. (Not that its vaccines are bad in any way shape or form). Which is entirely against your rights.

Who was forced? Literally NO one was forced.

People thinking Pierre is somehow like trump because he uses trumps effective self marketing tactics, need to accept that - as petty as it seems - it works.

      They aren’t and it doesn’t

Canada has been left behind, and it’s our own fault.

And that’s why Europe and Canada are closer now?

You need better news sources. No one was being forced.

I’ve addressed the gun thing before. If you’re law abiding abide by the laws.

Safe injection sites aren’t dangerous and they work. Drug addition is a mental health issue, making it safer helps to get them to stop.

The pandemic cost a lot of money

You mean how he was lowering debt to gdp until the pandemic hit?

It’s not? It’s debt to gdp. And no it’s not absolutely incorrect. The idiotic comment is bitching and moaning about being a law abiding citizens, and then in the same breath get all pissy about “muh gun rights”. Guns aren’t a right in canada. The OIC was poorly done imo, but if you’re a law abiding gun owner, abide by it?

Alberta’s sweep it under the rug isn’t a solution. 5 years ago the pandemic started, and it “ended” what 2 years ago? Jfc people born then are still in kinder garden. How long do you think a global pandemic, where capitalist took advantage of everyone, driving the prices higher, will take to recover from?

The underlying problem is right wing government being in bed with the capitalist more so than the left, who at the very least attempt to build social safety nets, and protect the environment from the businesses that attempt to destroy it, right now we have the liberals, who aren’t really left anyhow, who are doing better than the cons could, but need to be doing more.

You, and i are not being attacked. Guns aren’t a right in canada, they are a privilege. Yes gun violence is an issue. But the way to reduce gun violence is to build a strong social safety net, you want to tackle the root cause? Get rid of the reason people join gangs. Look how effective the war on drugs is, people still use it. Border enforcement will catch some sure, but gang violence will keep happening. The conservatives don’t like strong social safety nets so they sell you security theater, just like after 911, it’s theater. Talking about money spent? Rebuilding neglected infrastructure takes a lot of money. Kids under 17 get dental and vision care. Cheaper day care those are examples of things that we have to show for it.

Pp’s circle is the same as carney’s but at least there will be positive social policies, and instead of getting in bed with trump, we will divest.

I read this entire thread and you sound almost like a MAGA from down here. Are you sure you didn’t take a wrong turn on the way to r/conservative?

          My bingo card:

          • ✅️ The guvment is too far left and censoring us
          • ✅️ My guns are being taken away by the libs
          • ✅️ Drill baby, drill
          • ✅️ Forced vaccinations are real and against my rights
          • ❌️ A red MAGA hat
          • ✅️ The other guy will fix “the economy”
          • ✅️ Bring manufacturing back here
          • ❌️ Illegal immigrants are the problem
          • ✅️ “I like him because he tells it as it is”
          • ❌️ The incumbent rigged the election

Being against providing a safe space for drug addicts is a new one, though. If they’re going to shoot up regardless, isn’t it better that their biohazardous needles are disposed of safely and not in a park?

From my understanding, you have three viable parties. I understand saying “fuck the neoliberals,” but then why not pick the third party that isn’t endorsed by the insane fascist down here?

I forget which chucklefuck said it, but our administration said your conservative party leader’s values align with Trump’s, and Trump is threatening your entire country’s sovereignty on a near daily basis. If the expansionist “deal maker” who likes to demand mineral rights in exchange for empty promises likes him, I would expect that to be a very good indicator of someone willing to bend the knee and kiss the ring.

I get that, but I also really don’t think it’s a good idea to underestimate the importance of having a leader who strongly pushes back against Trump.

America is going downhill fast, and the current administration is highly imperial, expansionist, and corrupt. The “51st state” shit isn’t a joke. The government here said “if” they were to take Canada, it would be by economic force instead of military force, and then proceeded to leverage tariffs to create economic pressure on the rest of the continent. They undermine and belittle the Canadian government at almost every opportunity while riling up the conservatives down here by claiming yall are taking advantage of us and being welfare queens who are completely reliant on our handouts and protection. It’s an obvious attempt to tire people out and destroy national sympathy for you guys.

Trust me, whatever shit you have going on there right now, it’s still a lot better than what’s happening down here. And as bad as we have it, you would get it even worse as a country compromising itself to appease America. By all means, vote for whoever you want, but at least wait until after the US has played its hand and made its intentions to extract wealth and resources from Canadians undeniably clear. Voting in an American-friendly candidate right now is a guarantee to have American corporations come in and destroy your country like they did ours.
