Many men and women are prone to being dominated and controlled by others. Their insecurities demand simple ideologies and a found family to stand by them. It makes them susceptible to manipulation.
Men have been targetted because fascism requires bullies to intimidate the people and maintain the power of the state. However woman also play an important role as informers, cheerleaders and domestic slaves. Remember it is subservience all the way down. Women might be subservient to their men but the men are all subservient to their leaders. Freedom of thought or action can not be tolerated.
The susceptible people exist. Networks exist to target then. Rich and powerful people exist. It’s inevitable that these things would come together. What isn’t inevitable is that the rest of us would welcome them in without resistance. That part is fucking weird.

People, in general, have this “someone else will stop it” or “someone needs to step up” mentality, and they wait around to be saved; kind of like a whole crowd watching someone dying and no one calling 911.
There seems to this paradox were we simultaneously want to be noticed but also blend in with the crowd. How we fix that is beyond me, but we need to soon, because if we don’t, we’ll be constantly doomed to repeat the past.
When you have a huge swath of boys with no real support systems they become prey for these grifters promising X,Y and Z. No one cares about boys.
