I’ve seen this before, and for the longest time the description of his immediate post incident behavior always seemed ascribed to his railway employer, not the Dr whose care he was under.
Perhaps it was my inattention to detail on prior readings - but those sentiments seem entirely fitting of his employer who then fired him. Harsh in nature and perhaps blown out of proportion as per the wiki.
Idk just seems like the types of things an employer would say when they want to fire someone, just in old English. Perhaps hia employer had good cause though, it sounds like.
You’re welcome. This case is spoken of in the book Descartes’ Error: Emotion, Reason, and the Human Brain, along with other similar cases. It’s very creepy in that book.
