He’s 101 years old, a WW2 veteran, and a fascinating interview.

“These Americans, they’re out of their minds!”

Gotta love old people. They’re all out of fucks to give.

Also, the dude is 101 years old and is sharper mentally than most people I’ve met over 60. We should all be so lucky.

He’s a WW2 veteran who called in an air raid on Rommel. And still writing books, travelling the world, and doing lucid speeches and interviews, 80 years after the war ended. Amazing.

On July 17, 1944, he had spotted a fast-moving staff car, usually used to carry German officers. According to Rohmer, the German officer being carried was Field Marshal Erwin Rommel. Rohmer reported the car’s location to Group Control Centre, which sent in a Spitfire piloted by Canadian Charley Fox.

Yeah, they had a copy of his recent book (IIRC 2022?) and I think he mentioned he was working on another one.

He keeps repeating how the US President has a brilliant memory and intellect and an amazing vocabulary. Is he looking at the same President the rest of us are? Is be being so subtly sarcastic I can’t tell?
